OHM Cycles Ltd., based in Vancouver, Canada, was started with the goal of creating the best electric bike on the market.

The OHM bicycle is not a regular bicycle adapted for electric use. Instead the OHM bicycle was designed from the ground up as a powerful and economic electric bicycle using the most advanced components in electrical as well as bicycle technology.

Electrical Components
For the electrical components OHM Cycles partnered up with the BionX Company. BionX has been manufacturing electric conversion kits for over five years. Their product is well tested and is powering thousands of bicycles across the globe. Here at NYCewheels we have been selling the BionX system for over three years and consider it the best quality kit on the market. OHM bicycles use the hub motor, console, and electric control technology of the BionX system. To design the batteries, the OHM Company turned to E-One Moli Energy Ltd a leader in Lithium Ion technology. They developed a battery especially for OHM Cycles which offers more power capacity per pound than any other electric bicycle system.

Models
OHM Cycles offers four models of bikes, the Urban XU450 and XU700, or the Sport XS700 and XS750. As the names suggest the Urban are designed for the commuter and the Sport for the performance cyclist.
